Mark was a good friend, he was our Drum Major and participated in planning our own marching show which we substited for the same boring show which was performed at every game. We really peeved the band director. Mark worked for National Oilwell and was the Music Director of 3rd Presbyterian Church in Houston. My wife Robin and I along with other friends sang in his choir for Special Occasions. We enjoyed evenings gathered in his home singing around the Grand Piano. Mark played a good piano; A Steinway if memory serves me. Mark's singing voice was unparalleled in our School. We were a close circle of friends. Those of you that didn't know Mark outside of school missed knowing a great man and friend.
